Elka and I passed the therapy team evaluation
I just got back from the Oregon Humane Society—Elka and I passed our therapy team evaluation. In fact, she did better than me since I was nervous.
It’s hard to believe that this is the result of all of our work training and bonding. They said it was clear that we were extremely bonded and Elka constantly looked to me for direction. There were some areas we can improve in, but mostly that was my nervousness, not Elka’s behavior.
This is the beginning of a great adventure; I just hope we stick to it. Therapy work is a great thing to do to give back to the community and to help others, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to be able to do. Now that I have the most awesome dog in the world at my side I can realize that goal.
