I sent the email…

... to go ahead with adopting Milton.

I had him off sedatives the last few days since his leg was back to normal.  Reminded of his energy level, I was a little tired out, but he’s pretty mellow even with the puppy energy.  He’s great with Mali (one chase after much baiting from her highness), and she likes him. He’s great with Elka even if she’s a bit rough with him occassionally.  He has this incredible natural good nature.  He walks great on a leash, is friendly with strangers even with inappropriate approaches.  He loves kids.

But most importantly, I love him.

If he was terrible with Elka and/or Mali my emotions would be null and void in this; but he’s great with them.  In fact, I can’t find any negatives.  Yes, he hurt his leg, and yes he had some colitis, but both are cleared up.

He’s really just the perfect fit for my house.  I can not wait to see what an awesome adult he’s going to be, but I’m going to miss the puppy days.

I’ve long dreamed of having two dogs. I bought a house that could one day be the perfect home for two dogs.  It was a long time in the making, but this is one dream that has come true for me now that Milton has found his way home.
