The end of the Prius, and back to Subarus

Today I took the Prius into the Subaru dealership and wrangled.

I think I did ok; perhaps I could have saved a few more $$, but I’m happy with the deal that I got.  I ended up with a Blue forester, with the cold weather package (mmmm warm seats), iPod interface, and the bluetooth media streaming kit (not yet installed).  I ended up getting the 2.5X Premium Package.

Just in the process of driving it back I realized how much happier I was.  I felt safe; not like the car might lose its grip at any second, or that the electronics might go wonky and do some weird thing at any minute.  I love the ride of this car, and it’s just so comfortable.  Plus, I have a sunroof.  Need I say more?

This was definitely the right decision and I have no regrets about ditching the Prius.  At this time in my life, I need a car that can fit the dogs, and I need a car that makes me feel safe.  Unfortunately, the Prius gave me neither.

One less thing to worry about.  That’s a good thing, to be sure.

Werd.  I loved our Subaru.  Hopefully we’ll get another one once we don’t have 3 kids in carseats!
