Happy New Year, and another week off? What?

It’s 2011.

Yay.

Last week was a busy week.  Lots of doctors appointments and loose ends to tie up.  Plus I turned 34 last Monday.  Yippee.

On Friday, for New Year’s Eve, Chris & Wendy joined Chris & myself.  We got drunk, made fresh pizzas, watched Inception, drank some more, and then played Kinect Sports.  I slept until noon on the 1st - a sparkling way to bring in the new year.

Yesterday we did almost nothing, though I did get a free burger at Red Robin.

Today we’re going to venture into Portland for some new fish for my tank and possibly a slice of pizza.  Maybe.  Not sure.  Definitely fish for the tank though, and I need a new water changing device - mine broke.  It’s now surrounded with marine gel, plumber’s tape, and duct tape - and still does a terrible job.  I guess my “repair” leaves something to be desired.  So a new device it is.

The weird thing about all of this is this coming week.  I took last week off, and now I’m taking this coming week off.

What the hell am I supposed to do for the week?  I did all the “necessary” things last week.  Mali has one vet appointment Friday for a repeat cysto to make sure the e. coli stays gone.  But other than that - I feel almost lost, awash in “no plans”.

Wait, I have a plan.  Chis and I are going bouncing, hopefully while most people are at work.  Not really fit enough to enjoy this but wanna try it out anyway.  Maybe I’ll go a few times a month to their aerobics class to mix up my running thang.  Bouncing, barefoot running, and swimming?  Maybe some ice skating?  Whee.

A whole week off.  No plans.

So very strange.
