Over the last few months I’ve become increasingly annoyed with the state of the hallway carpet, and the state of the master bedroom colors.
They’re now fixed.
The carpet is the laminate of the closest match to the great room I could find. That is: it’s a great match color-wise, the planks are a bit thinner, though. I protected the high traffic “turn” (where the carpet was most worn) with FLOR carpet tiles. I think I may expand that rug too. It is nice because I was able to make it a matching shape to the hallway, something that would be very difficult, if even possible, with an off-the-rack area rug.
The master bedroom is this beautiful “Natural Amsterdam” cork. The lower walls are dark blue, the upper walls are one shade lighter than the darker blue, and the ceiling is a very light blue. Picture rail surrounds the room, and I’ve got bling bling lights (that’s their real name).
The darkest blue looks a bit streaky under the flash, they may need to come back and do another coat.
I’m going to pick up some picture rail hooks and hang some artwork next. Really psyched about both how the whole thing looks, and the added functionality the picture rails bring tot he room. I may even put up some LEDs behind the picture rails to illuminate the and highlight that new feature.
... and now my bedroom is the comfy, cozy place it should have been all along!
