WOD

Did the CrossFit.com WOD

time: 14m 36s.

For time:
70 Burpees
60 Sit-ups
50 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 poods
40 Pull-ups
30 Handstand push-ups

My mods:  I did 10 real Burpees but had to mod for my knee.  I went partial way down using a couch arm, and included a push-up to make that version more intense.

10lb bell.

Pull-ups by going under a table, gripping the top, and pulling myself up to the table.

Handstand push-ups used 2 10lb dumb-bells for military presses.  Tried to buy a bar; they only had 60lb-ers, I’m not there yet.  Best I could do.

Heart rate monitor was being used as a timer this time and was having a hard time getting my heart rate for some reason.  I think it peaked circa 180bpm - I was being stifled more by strength this time.  Felt this was a good, high intensity workout.

What I learned from doing this at home? I definitely push harder at the gym; though I did feel I was pushing as hard as I could here.  I just have more fun doing this with a group and having a trainer helping and encouraging.  But this was better than not doing a workout today and getting to the gym just wasn’t happening due to other commitments.  This way I was able to fit it in at home on my own schedule.

Looking forward already to CrossFit class tomorrow!
